Furry Facts!

Satin Fur:

This unique fur is like no other! The satin coat was originally believed to be discovered in the 1930’s and is believed to have originated as a genetic mutation in the Havana breed. Satin fur is noted for its transparent sheen and the glasslike appearance of the hair shafts. Satin fur is found in three breeds: the satin, the mini satin and in satin angoras.

Angora wool anyone? The sheer magnitude of the English Angoras coat makes the breed hard to overlook, but the daily grooming commitment is extensive.

The Jersey Wooly provides angora wool in a petite package basically. Jersey woolys are a wonderful choice if you’d like to get use to raising angora rabbits on a slightly smaller scale.

Angora Wool:

Angora wool is a fiber enthusiast’s paradise!!! If you are familiar with angora goats or angora sheep you will easily recognize the long, soft, flowing wool that angora rabbits behold.

There are six rabbit breeds that possess the angora wool these include: two dwarf-sized breed the American fuzzy lop and the jersey wooly, and four larger breeds the English angora, the French angora, the satin angora and the giant angora.
